This is one of many series of Yayasan Pillar Friday Food Basket program and program to lessen the burden of city poor. Yayasan Pillar team went down and donated basic necessities to the needy in Kampung Bintawa and Kampung Sorabaya. After the survey, the team studied other basic problems faced by these people on a daily basis. Commonly found are broken down houses falling apart, either sharing electricity and water with neighbours or without toilet. Also identified are families living on less than RM350 monthly, which translates to RM2.33(USD 0.50) per person per day. The Yayasan Pillar team gather data and assists the families to manage their applications for assistance from the relevant government agencies.
